Ok, so the videos I've been watching lately are either Minecraft music, SSBB things, or game comparisons. The game comparisons (and theories) were interesting, so I decided to talk about them today. Let's start with the one that scared me the most.
Twilight Princess - Majora's Mask Connections http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n--UKEZ3-rk&feature=watch_response
I hope you were brave enough to watch the video. If you didn't, let's cover it here. If you look at the piece of the fused shadow that Midna wears on her head, there's an eye design. This eye design is very similar to the eyes on Majora's Mask. My theory is that the mask was used by the Interlopers to try and take the Triforce. They took the shadows within and fused them into a new object, called the Fused Shadow. But then three light spirits broke it into four. Three remained in Hyrule while one was given to the Twili to remind them of their past faults. As you could see, it had a lot of power. Majora's Mask could make the moon fall on Termina and the Fused Shadow could kill Zant. (Boom! haha, that was awesome!) Now then, let's look at the battle patterns for Majora's Mask and Zant. Both of them are pretty crazy and insane. Also, there was a race in MM called the Garo. They could only be seen in a certain way, similar to how Link can only see Twilight Insects using his wolf senses. The Garo also have knives hidden up their sleeves, like the way Zant does in the sixth stage of battle. And finally, the way the moon warps away at the end of MM is similar to to warping in TP. I have also noticed some things as well. The bow that Link gets in TP is the Hero's Bow from MM, not the Fairy's Bow from OoT. At the end of an adventure, Link throws away all of his items for some reason. MM Link left them all in Termina, so how could the Hero's Bow get to Hyrule? This has led me to think that TP Hyrule is actualy Termina. But there's a lot of evidence going against that idea.
I also found another video connecting Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. It's about who the Hero's Shade in Twilight Princess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7Hyq60kZ2s&feature=related They think that the Hero's Shade is MM Link, but I believe that he's WW Link. (heh heh, ww is mm upside down.) You see, after WW Link is directly sent to another adventure, PH. After that is over, where does he go? To a parallel timeline! WW and TP Link have similar sword techniques, which makes me thinks so. Let's just see what the video has to say.
As we know, Link went into the forest to search for Navi. (Link, you idiot! You saw her fly out the window in the Temple of Time! Why didn't you search there? There was a whole dungeon in that window!) After the events of Majora's Mask, he went back. He continued searching the Lost Woods, and eventually turned into a Stalfos. Then he remembered what Skull Keeta asked him to do. He then went to Igos du Ikana to confront him. The next part confused me a bit, so I'm just going to say that he was taught Elegy of Emptiness. When Link played it, the song empied out the Stalfos mind within him. Link was then Hylian again and recieved Ikana Armor. And so, he was now the Hero's Shade. He used the Gilded Sword and Mirror shield, but over time the shield became dirty and non-reflective. What about the Golden Wolf? Well, when Midna was cursed into imp form she first went to Termina to seek help. But then, Midna heard a voice. It was the Hero's Shade! Midna brought them both into the Twilight Realm. Being the Hero of Time, he transformed into a Golden Wolf. The Hero's Shade helped Midna by telling her of Hyrule. Midna then found TP Link. The Hero's Shade knew that Link wouldn't be able to save Hyrule without knowing the ways of the sword. And so, he ventured into Hyrule to find and train him.
Finally, finished with Majora's Mask! That was a lot, wasn't it? Well, I don't think you'll like having everything at once. More connections next time!
